The phrase "going over the top" came into usage during World War I and
referenced attacking infantry rising out of their own trenches to
assault the enemy. Here we has a British Officer leading his troops for
that all too familiar ill fated World War One climb over the parapet of
their trenches and cross "No Man's Land."
This is a one of a
series of Phil Willetts World War One paintings to commemorate the 100
years anniversary. Painted in acrylic in great detail art paintings
and drawings at their best.
This painting is an acrylic painted onto canvas texture paper with a overall size of 20" x 16" (508mmx405mm )
The painting will be well packaged for post or if you want to collect we are more than happy to accommodate.
